Diane Silverman and Blake Robertson along with other members of the Garland Good Government Group, announce a petition drive on Friday, February 1, seeking the recall of Hot Springs Mayor Mike Bush and Director Carroll Weatherford.

"The main thing we’d like for you to know is that we are going to start circulating petitions to enact the recall of these two public officials."
Blake Robertson said city residents are "fed up with the Hot Springs Board of Directors’ unprofessional conduct. They are tired of the city board turning a deaf ear to the concerns of the citizens."
Diane Silverman said the former National Baptist Hotel on Malvern Avenue was chosen because it "symbolizes the arrogance, lack of ethical standards and poor judgment that characterizes multitudes of actions this city’s mayor and board have taken that are a detriment to the people who live, work and play here."
